Keep America Beautiful's Great American CleanupTM 2010 Results!

Keep Montgomery County Beautiful would like to thank all the volunteers that helped make 2010 a record breaking year for the Great American Cleanup.  We increased the number of cleanup events by 54 from 2009 and added 1,436 more volunteers!  We appreciate each volunteer’s commitment to their community.

Our volunteers picked up 671,648 pounds of litter from our roads, alleys, parks and rivers.  On average, our volunteers removed the equivalent of almost 34 garbage trucks full of trash from our community in a three month time period. 

Our volunteers have expressed what a great feeling it is to see an area once covered with litter look beautiful again…the way it should be! 

Check back on our website or visit our Facebook page for announcements on upcoming cleanups.  Even though the Great American Cleanup is over for the year, we will still be conducting and supporting cleanups with supplies all year long.
